Marlborough

The Marlborough Four Wheel Drive Club is based in Blenheim, with members as far a field as Nelson, Kaikoura, and the West Coast. Membership varies around 60-70, about half of whom have standard unmodified trucks (although requiring fitment of tow hooks and Mud Terrain tyres), with the other half ranging from relatively minor modification through to some seriously well-built winch challenge competitors.

The Club normally runs two trips per month, usually on Sundays, with one trip being suitable for unmodified “Shiny” trucks, and one more challenging trip where vehicle damage may be more likely to occur. Training Days are held regularly, and provide a good opportunity for new or prospective members to learn about off-road driving in a safe and enjoyable environment. Several weekend trips are held each year which include scenic camping trips suitable for all members, and some extremely challenging tracks around the West Coast.

All new prospective members are welcome, club meets at the Blenheim Playcentre, Eltham Road, 7.30 pm on the Wednesday following the second Sunday of each month.
